About

Josh Cooper is taking some of Victoria's best sustainable and organic/biodynamic vineyards and putting them on show. This, the Doug's Vineyard Pinot Noir, is a beautiful depiction of the finesse and detail that can gentle winemaking can create given the right fruit. The 2015 is an intricate Pinot, one that you would do well to spend some time with. As Gary Walsh noted in his sensational 95 point review, it's a wine that slowly sucks you in, and once you're there, you won't want to leave.

What it Tastes Like

"It’s light and quite bony, acid etched and pretty firm, but give it some time in the glass and you begin to appreciate its detail and intricacy as it lets down its guard. Dried roses, sour cherry and raspberry, dusting of spice and whiff of sweet wood, with a mint and orange peel top note. Subtle to taste, with a distinct ‘minerally’ feel to both acidity and tannin, and a palate that’s definitely using watercolours (see what I did there?) rather than oil. Pencilly oak, spice and red fruits on a long precise finish. It’s an enchanting wine; the devil is in the detail." - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)
