A lovely take on Muscat Alexandrie here from Dave Geyer. The fruit comes from the now widely popular Ricca Terra Farms 80-year-old Muscat/Zibbibo vineyard, tended by Ashley Ratcliff and co. Half the grapes were fermented in tank, half in old wood, in an attempt by Dave to pick up a little more texture whilst still maintaining the fresh, vibrant flavours of this variety when picked early. It's cool, interesting and down-right delicious. As Mike Bennie noted in his review of this release, "It’s what we should be drinking more of..."

What it Tastes Like

"Whoa! Buckle in. This is seriously aromatic. Quince, lolly bags, cucumber, honeycomb, lemon curd – lots going on in the bright, sweet, fruity set. Like it. The variety says hello, come on in. Palate is a refreshment blast of lemon barley water and cucumber-like herbal notes. Easy to drink, slides and slips, finishes with grassiness and zingy, tonic water length. It’s summery and lovely. It’s simple. It’s what we should be drinking more of; unadorned, easy drinking, lightly textural white stuff." - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)
