Remi Guise sourced a few small parcels of fruit from across southern Margaret River for this wine. The majority was Grenache fruit, with some smaller portions of Syrah, Viognier and Malbec thrown in the mix. All fermented as whole berries, all spending some days or weeks on skins. This is a fascinating wine from this region. It says much more about Remi's style than it does anything particularly regional. Firmly structured, glassy fruit, a touch of herb and fantastic length - there's a lot to like here. This is a highly expressive lo-fi wine for the intellectual Grenache fan. Only 65 dozen made.

What it Tastes Like

"One of the most tannic, firm and structured grenache-based wines I have seen, and not without pleasure despite the lack of frills and fun that the variety can bring. Ropes of slender tannin weave through kisses of dark fruit, sweet earth, briar, and the perfume is set to understated with similar characters. It sits long and fine in the palate, a touch of oak spice through the long, sleek finish. It’s a very fine expression here." - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)
