Dan Standish is one of the most outstanding young Barossan producers in the game today. His premium offerings rank amongst the rarest and most hotly sort after Barossa wines for collectors in the know. After learning his trade at Torbreck, his exploits under his own label have rightfully generated sensational press. The Schubert Theorem Shiraz is a reconstruction of the best parcels of Shiraz from the Schubert family vineyard in Marananga. Each batch of fruit is meticulously fermented seperately then reassembelled in a final blend to represent the very best this old vine plot has to offer. If you want the best of the Barossa in your cellar, Standish is a must.

What it Tastes Like

Hits you front on, this does. The nose is densely populated with notes of black fruit, black soil, black pepper. It's dark and brooding and effortlessly powerful. The opulence of the fruit conquers every cavity of the mouth. Layers of thick-set, inky fruit, ropes of sinewy tannins with a crunchy minerality gives precise definition and drive. Earth shattering boom comes through the finish. Barossa Shiraz at its most seductive and impressive. A wine of magnitude and class. Woah.
