The Picardy Pinot Noir vineyard was planted with the intent of replicating the conditions which make Pinot Noir from Burgundy great. Yields are managed with close attention by the Pannell family, Bill has spent more than 20 years acquiring a complex tapestry of clones to create a nuanced and detailed final wine. This is a structural yet seductive Pinot Noir for purists and traditionalists. Mike Bennie labelled the 2014 release as "Excellent" in his 94 point review, this is a very good vintage of this classically inspired wine.

What it Tastes Like

"Whoa. Has some serious strut. Mellow, warm spice floods the sense, smells like mulled wine and fresh berries and herbs. Lovely. Palate is soft, spreads through the mouth with transparent soft red cherry fruitiness then begins a tight squeeze with the web of tannins. Has that silk pillow feel of great pinot noir, then tightens up with a spread of dusty grip. It’s fruity and savoury at once too. Rejoice! Excellent." - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)
