About Hunter Valley
The Hunter is the home of Semillon in Australia. Arguably the best in the world, Hunter Sem is one of Australia’s most truly unique wine styles. Add to that the fact that have been producing some of Australia’s best quality Shiraz for over a century and you can see why this is one of our most loved wine regions. But with a new generation of winemakers comes innovation. Now we are seeing risks being taken, new varieties being planted and some inspired winemaking which is writing a new chapter in the Hunter Valley’s rich history. We can’t wait to see what happens next.
94 points. “Bright in the glass; fresh-faced flavours of cherry-plum, licorice, earth and dried spice; elegant but powerful with beautifully judged oak. Linger of smoky minerality to the aftertaste elevates it further.”
- Campbell Mattinson (Australian Wine Companion)
TASTING NOTE A traditional medium bodied Hunter Valley Shiraz. Aromas of cherries and mulberries are layered over delicate notes of dried spice and toasty oak. An intense and fruit driven palate is long and persistent with beautifully balanced velvety tannins giving the wine great mouth feel and drinkability.
CELLARING Drinking beautifully now, but will age well over the next 8 years.
