Let's get you some vino! We guarantee to make your wine ordering experience as easy and pain-free as possible via fast, reliable, fully insured shipping. We offer a range of options to work around your requirements - we don’t want anything to stand in the way of you and your delicious wines!

What Does It Cost?

Shipping through our main freight partner, Fastway Couriers, is FREE for orders of $150 or more and just $9 for any order under $150. Some areas considered ‘regional’ by Fastway do have a freight surcharge applied - this will be calculated at checkout based on your postcode.

How Long Does It Take?

We pride ourselves on fast shipping, and unless otherwise listed most orders will leave our warehouse within a day of you placing your order. You’ll receive a tracking notification email once your wines leave our warehouse. Our warehouse is in Sydney, so unless otherwise stated at checkout, freight times are approximately as follows:

  • Sydney - 1-2 business days (occasionally same business day for AM orders)
  • Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, Central Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong, Coffs Harbour - 1-3 business days
  • Adelaide, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Geelong, Mackay, Bendigo - 2-4 business days
  • Cairns, Townsville, Hobart, Launceston - 3-5 business days
  • Perth - 6-10 business days

What Happens If I Am Not Home?

Fastway Couriers are not affiliated with Australia Post, so your wine can’t be left at the local post office or a Parcel Locker. Fastway can however leave your wines somewhere safe near your front door, so please leave shipping instructions during the checkout process if applicable. If you'd like your order delivered to a Post Office, just select your PO Box at checkout and your order will be shipped via Australia Post.

We’d also strongly encourage you to leave a contact phone number, so that we or the courier can contact you if any issues arise. Alternatively, if you live in a security apartment or a house with no easy drop off location, we suggest you have the wines delivered to your work address or a friendly neighbour’s place.

What Do I Do If My Wine Doesn’t Turn Up?

Contact us! On rare occasions packages can get broken or go missing in the freight system. If your wine hasn’t turned up in the expected delivery time please don’t hesitate to email us (help@differentdrop.com) or give us a call (1300 668 385), and we’ll sort it out for you right away by getting a brand new box of wines on the road to you.

And remember, please contact us not the freight company. We’ll respond immediately and are much more friendly :).

What Happens When It’s Really Hot, And Can I Delay Dispatch?

As we are shipping premium wine we typically err the side of caution and don’t dispatch wine during particularly hot spells. If you want your order dispatch delayed further until cooler periods that is not a problem, just let us know once you have placed your order and we’ll delay dispatch until a specified date.
